Given, what you say, and what the FAQ says, don't you think it might
be a good idea to change the first paragraph of the man page?
Old wording:
Fvwm is a window manager for X11. It is a derivative of
twm. Although it was redesigned to minimize memory consump-
tion, it is now as bloated as any other window-manager (not
really, see the FAQ for a comparison). Users searching for
a low-memory consumption window-manager are advised to look
elsewhere, possibly to an earlier version of fvwm (1.24r,
for example). Future changes are planned to reduce memory
consumption again, if possible.
New wording:
Fvwm2 is a window manager for X. Fvwm2 is a derivative of
twm, redesigned to minimize memory consumption, look better,
run faster, configure easier, and be more modular.
