FVWM: fvwm2 startup delay, tranparency, shape, etc

hi all

after some 6 years using fvwm 1 i made the switch to fvwm2, but i seem to hit a couple
of silly errors on my own. sorry if this is old stuff for you.

i compiled 2.4.14 without problems.

when i start/restart fvwm2 i get a long delay (1 minute or so). how can i fix that?

i translated my old trusty .fvwmrc to .fvwm2rc and i got similar behavior, but i'd like to add
transparency, and if possible shaped titlebars and buttons. any pointer to a example .fvwm2rc
with this enabled?
