I voted for the bug. The solution suggested by Dominik requires the unstable
version, and I don't think I am ready for that.

The "BugOpts ModalityIsEvil True" hack doesn't work for me. This is probably
because Java 2 uses Metal (swing) as default instead of motif (??).

So, I guess I have to bear on this annoying thing for now... <sigh>..
