FVWM: Put windows vertical, not horizontal

Hi !

First: fvwm is great. Thank you ;)

But I don't like the standard behaviour how windows are put on the screen from left to right. I would like that they are created from top to bottom.

I asked this question a while ago, unfortunately the answer was "not possible". Now I have a little spare time and would like to implement that feature myself. Since this is the first time I would look into the fvwm2 source I some little hints where to start best...
