While on this topic, I would like to ask about the double quotes
around the "C", "D", "M", "I", "H".

Although I see them in many of the examples posted here,
they are not present in the examples on the fvwm2 man page.
I happily omit the quotes in my .fvwm2rc, and things work just fine.

If they are not needed, why does anyone use them? Backward compatibility?
