I have downloaded fvwm-2.0.46.tar.gz twice (to ensure I didn't have any
transmission errors), and every time I try to extract it I get the
following
error:
hfmngxs_at_sed_sparc8$ tar -xf fvwm-2.0.46.tar
tar: read error: unexpected EOF
I have the following setup:
hfmngxs_at_sed_sparc8$ bash -version
GNU bash, version 2.00.0(10)-release (sparc-sun-sunos4.1.3)
Copyright 1996 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
hfmngxs_at_sed_sparc8$ gzip -V
gzip 1.2.3 (24 Jun 93)
Compilation options:
DIRENT UTIME HAVE_UNISTD_H
hfmngxs_at_sed_sparc8$ uname -a
SunOS sed_sparc 4.1.4 1 sun4m
I have not had any problems with V2.0.45 - what's happened? Has some
souped up version of 'tar' been used? I can't get any version info
from 'tar', all I get is:
hfmngxs_at_sed_sparc8$ tar -v
tar: usage: tar -{ctxru}[vfblmhopwBiX] [tapefile] [blocksize] file1
file2...
Hope someone can help me!!
