Yep. I for one am an insane Windows user. At least half the time I do
not wish to use the window which has just popped up.
I do not wish to interact with my clock when I start it,
nor for instance my 'xload' windows. They are simply for the
display of information, *not* interaction.
Another reason, is the long delay in loading an application sometimes.
I have often started 'word', and then been asked to do something else.
I would start to do this & then the window for 'word' would finally
appear, taking focus with it & whatever keys it was typing etc..
[ This is also dangerous if you accidently hit some buttons you shouldn't
have.]

P.S. I'm not sure that I for one particularly care for 'motif' style
guidelines. After all windows has click to front & click to focus,
and I wouldn't use their guidelines for quids.
