As I've said before, it's not us we're concerned about, it's the
people that use our product to develop applications for *their*
customers. You're just dreaming if you seriously expect more than a
small fraction of app developers to go to the extra trouble required
to transfer focus to their dialogs when they're run in a pointer focus
environment.
According to section 5.4 of the Motif style guide, the ability to do
this not only not required, it's not even guaranteed to work in
pointer focus mode.
