Great! that just means I'm not wasting my time. I just have a setup
problem somewhere.

This could be the problem. FvwmAudio is not running. I have just
tried to get it started manually (both from the fvwm popup menu, and
from an xterm prompt). It said I must be fvwm to start it. I wonder
if since the process is called fvwm2-95, it is testing for the wrong
name? Hmm.. looks like a little hacking is in order.
