Atleast with 3.1.1, I have experienced *many* lockups due to memory
exhaustion in X. (Didn't have swap on the time). I'd tentively
would say "it don't handle them well." Also, I've read in a couple
of places that XFree86 servers are known for locking up the
actual machine when the machine runs out of memory.
