FVWM: FVWM (latest) compile on Solaris-2.4

I've been having a lot of difficulty getting the latest fvwm distribution
(patchlevel 34) to compile on Solaris-2.4. Before proceeding, I wonder
if someone might have some notes which are applicable to this.

I am using GCC (precompiled) and not the commercial CC environment... have
not had problems compiling anything else.
