Just tired that. It doesn't work for me, but I'm still using
2.5.8. BTW, I've

    Style * SkipMapping

and no styles with ShowMapping in my config. So, I assume that this is
either a bug in FVWM 2.5.8 or Gimp 2.0.2 uses a special feature to
circumvent SkipMapping.
