Assuming that you mean the desktop labels in FvwmPager:

  *FvwmPager: Font none

fvwm looks for $HOME/.fvwm/.fvwm2rc, but you can force using a
specific file with the -f option:

  $ fvwm -f /foo/bar/myfvwmwrc
