Uh, there's a syntax error in your config line that previous versions
seem to have ignored:
> *VertButtons( ... Action 'Exec "plan" plan &' )
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This line should do it:
*VertButtons( ... Action 'Exec plan &' )
or
*VertButtons( ... Action 'Exec exec plan &' )
